A Bit About Me
Hailing from San Diego, California, Drea was involved in music at a young age. During her formative years, Drea participated in Music recitals, competitions, musical theatre, choir, and started dabbling with songwriting.

Drea graduated early and received her Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of California, Riverside. After graduation, Drea moved to South Korea to teach English and Musical Theatre, where she also formed her indie rock outfit, Drea & the Marilyns.

As a music educator, she also held leadership roles, including Director of Performances and Director of Community Outreach, where she founded Music 4 Change —a program that offered free or greatly reduced-price lessons to Title I schools and retirement homes. She consistently maintains a waitlist of students at every studio and school where she has taught.

As a film composer, she has written a wide variety of pieces that range from 90s-inspired indie pop to avant-garde minimal melotron pieces and have premiered at the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival (LALIFF), the LA Shorts International Film Festival, the HollyShorts Film Festival, and the Emerald City Short Film Festival.

As a musician, singer-songwriter, and performer, you can catch Drea performing at SeaTac Int'l Airport through Gigs4U and with her band Drea & the Marilyns throughout the Greater Seattle Area. Drea & the Marilyns have toured extensively throughout South Korea and the United States, playing festivals such as the Hae Bon Chon Festival in Seoul and Belltown Bloom in Seattle. She has also written numerous songs for Bushwick Book Club.
